Friday Morning in Florida

Well Thursday was one of those days where I decided to try and get rid of this head cold so I rested and read most all of the day except when I was cat napping. I had no idea where I picked up the sniffles but I'm surmising it probably due to all of the pool activities 2 days in a row with lots of kids in the water and the fact that was the first in many months I had been in a pool for quite some time and that after leaving the pool I was in the air conditioning, oh well.

The morning started with me telling myself to not go to the gym as well as Nancy reminding me that a couple years ago the same scenario occurred where I let myself get overworked which brought down my immunity, so it was a boring day for me except I started a new read by Tami Hoag. She is a good writer which specialized in crime mysteries and this book NIGHT SINS is rather interesting. So that is what I did for most of the day except for some piddly things. We did have Amy, GG and the kiddo's for lunch and Sam has been somewhat not quite his self as well. He didn't have any runny nose like me but he acted a little washed out.

Anyhow by late evening after a delicious supper at Amy's of  homegrown beef steak from Kansas simmered in a gravy over smashed taters and fresh green beans he and I both started to feel better. I passed on the hot brownie cake with ice cream as I had a second helping of the cubed steak and taters. Amy has become quite the cook much like her mother and she sets a fine table. Little Eliza Faye charmed us all until we tried to get her to set in her high chair which she was most unhappy about. She cried for awhile then when she was set free she rolled around on the carpet with Sam and Ava rough housing. She is one tough little gal and pulls herself up to stand whenever. She pulls herself up to the piano and plays a tune as well when Ave is practicing her lessons. I think she will be walking by the time we get back from the mountains.

Well we took GG home after supper and  I tuned into 3 sports channels and watched the Orioles annihilate the Tigers of Detroit 12-3, then the Packers were stomping the Vikings in football and finally the Royals were up 1 when I hit the off switch close to 11. Luckily we have 2 T.V.'s here in Florida so I had the one all to myself and nearly wore the remote out checking different games during commercials, LATER
