Sunday Morning August 13th

Well Saturday was near perfect day with cool temps to start and then lots of sunshine and a gentle breeze until the late evening when it clouded up and we saw a lite shower. We headed over to visit with our "mountain mom" for a few before heading over to the Luffman Farm for supper, some horse petting and then a rowdy game of Sequence with the gals winning the rubber game 3-2. We got back on the hill just before total darkness.

I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my routines that start with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and to lift up several for comfort and healing. All seem to be doing OK as I make this post. I headed out to check on the gardens and harvest another zucchini and a few small tomato's that were starting to show some colors. Nancy had a load of clothes on the outside line and I piddled around transplanting some seedlings into larger containers. I did piddle around on the backwoods trail cutting back some bushes and fixing another step as you make that last push and step up to get on the back road from the trail. I worked up a sweat with that chore and came back and settled down on the porch and read until lunch time.

I harvested another pint or so of blue berries which are ripening now almost everyday and add much flavor to my oatmeal for breakfasts. We ate lite for lunch after a bacon, egg and fried leftover taters for breakfast to start the day. Other than some small piddly chores it was another afternoon of reading until time to head out around 4'ish, LATER
