Well Wednesday started out much the usual for me with a before 6 ish roll out to my morning routines as everyone else slept in. I must say the guests did sleep in until at least 8'ish and even longer the first morning. I did my routines of posting this ramble and I must admit I was very critical of those two youngster which I should not have put in writing so I deleted the earlier post. They are a handful but family on Nancy's side and we truly love their mother Arianne as she is like a daughter and close to our own daughter Amy. But her and husband need to get on the same page in parenting skills and not let these two toddlers run the show, oh well.
I got in my non stop morning hike and went completely across the top where I met the Robert's sister in law who was packing her van to leave from the old Browning place. I mentioned to her about the raspberries and she was unable to pick them except for a few along the out edges of the patch. She did say they needed picking so she had Alicia her sister call us and to tell us to pick the berries so they wouldn't be lost. Well we did after Arianne's family left and harvested at least a gallon or more. We even blessed the neighbor next door with a quart or so before heading back down the mountain. We will head off to Galax today to purchase jelly making stuff as well as run a few errands in town.
We put the cabin back together and did some cleaning before supper. There was a nice breeze and the afternoon was very comfortable and we ate some of the leftovers from Tuesday nights supper which was very delicious but some what strained with the boys demeanor. I watched the Ray's get bombed in Washington before supper. After the clean up we headed out to piddle around hand watering the veggie and flower beds until 8 when the NHL playoff game came on from Tampa.
Well the Bolts once again beat the Canadians 3-1 in another tough fast paced match up and the best of 7 game series moves to Canada, LATER
