Well Thursday was another wonderful day temp wise here in central Florida with no humidity and cool temps all day long. We had the a/c off and the windows and doors open again for a second day in a row which is almost unheard of for this time of the year. It also was another work day for me as we are told to stay away from others for at least 6 feet and another ban on being out except for necessities; not sure what that means as it could change with your situation and needs.
I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord in thanks giving for another day and then lifted up several for comfort and healing. All seem as well as can be expected. Our nation is in some dire need of some healing with this insidious virus that is causing so much havoc with our health system as well as the economy as lots of folks are told to stay home and not work. The once great economy is now in default. The efforts of the gov't to keep us safe and free from this pandemic has caused so much fear and panic; but so much disinformation is being used by those who hate this potus to destroy him. The dems are blaming him and now have found a way to exacerbate this event and hopefully defeat him in the next election. It's totally despicable what they have done to turn this pandemic into a political issue at the expense of our nation.
I headed outside after a lite breakfast to hand water the gardens then decided to stay out and do some shrubbery trimmings which lasted well past lunch time. I did the front shrubs and hedges until lunch, them worked on the back yard shrubs which Nancy and Amy wanted gone. They have got out of hand over the years and cause so much trouble for Amy when they come with Ava to mow over the months we are gone. I took out two shrubs completely cutting them down. The cuttings were too large to mulch so I filled three trash cans and will have to wait until next week to do the rest after the garbage pickup today.
Well I just got some news that the "over the stove" microwave just died in the kitchen. I'm not sure if we are allowed to shop at appliance stores or not as that is a necessity for us in the kitchen, oh well. We can and will make do as we have the stove but once you get use to using one as much as we do its hard to change your habits. I know a fellow who specializes in appliance repair and I'll get his opinion and have him install a new one if we can find one to match the color scheme of the kitchen, oh well.
Nancy made Cincinnati chili for supper and while you don't think of a sauce over spaghetti noodles as chili this is exactly what it is but the cinnamon flavor in the sauce is so delicious. We used ground venison instead of beef and oh my was it ever good and flavorful. After the cleanup I headed back outside to piddle around hand watering the gardens and the yards before we took off on a nice couple miles bike ride. It was cool and Nancy had on a lite jacket but the coolness was perfect for keeping comfortable on an energy causing event. We tuned into the FOX Cable news for the real unbiased stories which is unlike the fake msm which is the front for the dem party and who are filled with the TDS. It's unreal how bias certain networks are as well as some newspapers. It wasn't long until it was shower time for me and then I watched a little of the History Channel until it was lights out for me around 10'ish, LATER
This is one head of the black seeded Simpson (Loose leaf) lettuce I harvested.
