Wednesday Morning June 21st

 Well Tuesday was a total wash out with over 6 inches of rain and I'm sure the driveway is washed out as at times it rained so hard it sounded like hail on the roof top. The rain may have let up for just a few moments at times but mostly it was a steady down pour. We had a white water river coming down the mountain into the usually dry gully behind the cabin and at times the roar could be heard in the cabin.

I started the day with my usual before 6 roll out to the sound of the rain on the tin roof while I did my morning routines that start with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and lift several up several by name for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding as I make this post. I never when off the porch during the whole day as it was that wet and cold, so we did play a new game we were given by the older lady on the top of the mountain a few weeks back and its a hoot. Two can play it and its called Jokers and Pegs with a deck of cards. Nancy loved it after at first thinking it was a non starter. I had played it with Tyler, Ava and Sam when they were here and thought it was a hoot. She finally agreed with me and she became quiet good as the day wore on. I Googled it and the board is quiet expensive but we were given two boards. I had to buy some colored pegs for the game but I think it will be a great game for when we have guests. I did finish a Bill O'Reilly book titled KILLING THE MOB.

We ate lite for lunch with some left over macaroni salad and a fresh chicken salad on lettuce from the garden and then for supper some fried pork tenderloin with fresh broccoli. We tuned in the college baseball world series and watched the LSU team win over Tennessee and then flipped to the Ray's game and they lost to the Orioles. That game was on the TV as well, so it was a night of both college and the big league baseball games. After the games it was shower time and some horizontal lab, LATER
