Well Monday morning started with overcast skies with some major fog in the morning hours and by late afternoon we saw some sunshine but then it rained rather strong for an hour or so. Thankfully it quit by the time we left for our respective Bible study classes around 6:30. I had started the day with my usual 6'ish rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet time to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding but our "mountain mom" Helen does have covid, so she is quarantined again. I did my morning stretches on the back porch and then headed out to walk or hike the perimeter of the property for at a mile or so which is at least 4 laps maybe 5. I get in my talk and thoughts with the Creator and also decide what I want to do for the day.
Steve and Sheri are at their place which is just down our driveway and we pal around and do lots things together as well as pulling suppers. Steve had a mower he couldn't get started as well as a weed eater and I had an old lawn boy mower which was just sitting around wasting away and a chainsaw that needed some idle adjustments, so we loaded them up in the truck and headed over to our newest friend and small engine repairman shop which is close to Sparta. Well he fixed Steve's mower while we waited and adjusted the carburetor on the mini mac chainsaw and excepted our two give aways; the weed eater from Steve and the mower from me. We were thrilled as was he, plus he is a strong Believer and knows America is doomed if the Harris bunch stays in power.
Well after dropping Steve and the mower off I headed home to do some small garden chores like weeding and collecting more zinnia heads as they are winding down. The extra chicken wire on the fence around the upper garden kept the bloody deer from finishing off those veggies. I did harvest more tomato's that are turning but the vines are showing they are starting to die. I still have a couple dozen or more green tomato's on the vines which should last us until we leave in about 4 weeks. We decided to eat our big meal with Steve and Sheri, after skipping lunch around 3'ish which was the leftover zucchini boats, pasta and salad; still delicious to say the least. Afterwards Steve and Sheri taught us a new game called Monopoly. Its a card game and very similar to the board game but played with cards and it has lots of strategy involved. At first I was reluctant to think I would ever learn the game but after playing a few times I really enjoyed it and was thrilled to continue playing. It's rather fast depending on how quick to get the monopolies. We played until it was time to get ready to head out for our Bible classes at Cornerstone.
Well we had a good meeting and with us leaving the mens group is holding a cookout in our honor on the 14th of October so they will invite the gals as well as they meet at the same time. We got back to the cabin after dropping off the Nymark's a little after 9, so I hit shower and watched a few minutes of the NFL before calling it a day around10:30, LATER
