Well Thursday was another hot and humid day and basically another work day for me except for the morning pickle ball session which allowed me some good exercise in a fun way; I got plenty later in the morning in the gardens and yard which was quite as fun but needed to be done. We had the Ross Family for supper minus Tyler who teaches ESL at church on Thursdays.
I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted the day before's activities on this blog which I hope will give my grand kiddos a look into how I lived and what I did on this journey called life. I spent some quiet time with my Creator lifting up several by name as well as giving thanks for my many blessings. All seem as well as can be expected due to their ages and health issues at this time.
I headed out around 8'ish on my bike to the Rec. It's strange to once again be on flat land and riding a bike. The only time this past summer I rode one was down the 17 miles Creeper Trail in Damascus, Virginia on an all day outing with family; but other than that there are no flat areas in the mountains. There are plenty of folks who ride the Blue Ridge Parkway but that doesn't look like fun with all of the hills at my age, oh well. There were eventually three courts in action and I managed to stay on one court through out most of the morning which meant I continued to win all of my matches. After and hour and half I decided to stop and head for home to work outside in the side garden. What a different for the exercise in the a/c gym to working in the garden as I was soon dripping sweat.
Nancy was off shopping and doing her thing at the gym on the bike and the treadmill. I took a break for lunch and cooled off then did a few more yard chores with spraying weed killer along the fence line and stripping some vines from the fences. I finally stopped until late afternoon when I turned over the piled up grasses and weeds for drying in the sun so I can mulch them for my compose. The need seedlings I set out in the ground are doing exceptionally well despite the high heat. I'm hand watering them as much as three times a day which is paying off as of now. Amy and the kiddos all came for a taco supper and stayed until 7:30. We got a few trick or treaters which lasted until 8'ish then we shut the porch light off.
I tuned into the Fox Cable News and once again learned just how corrupt the dems are in trying to destroy this potus with their false accusations and innuendos. I do believe most Americans see just what they have done to destroy this non politician since before he was elected and especially afterwards. It's criminal and despicable and they are accusing him of the very things they are guilty of doing. When the final outcome becomes clear we will see just how corrupt the party has become with the deep state players that started with the last potus who is afraid he will be exposed in the draining of the swamp. What took them by surprise was when Hillary wasn't elected to cover their misdeeds and corruption and that Trump is and will now expose their duplicity. Our republic is under assault by the corrupt members of the gov't and with the main stream media covering for them. We desperately need patriots to step up and take back our nation in the next election and send those who voted to start this impeachment proceedings against this potus packing for good, LATER
