Well Tuesday we found our way through the cornfields and battlegrounds of Gettysburg, Pa. to our cousins Chris and hubby Mike's beautiful home in Lancaster. It was a gorgeous day and we got there after an uneventful trip up I-81 from Woodstock, Va. We headed over the critical unit at the nursing home which is a very nice place to see Aunt Daryl. She did respond momentarily to the sound of our voices but mainly she slept however that morning she did have her hair done at the home. So that was a great sign and one of her usual weekly occasions. She is on her last leg due to her age and recent stroke but she does have some moments of lucidity.
We spent the afternoon visiting and then headed out to an outside restaurant where we spent a couple hours dining with cousin Tom and wife Cathy. Afterwards we headed over to their beautiful home and sat by the outside fire circle enjoying some home made desserts and some adult beverages until nearly 11. The moon and stars where so bright with just a slight chill in the air. Today(Wed.) we head back down I-81 to Winchester to spend some time with Paw Paw(dad) before heading back to Woodstock for the night, LATER
