Well Wednesday was a busy day after the Ross Family left for Tennessee and we took over the care of Rocky their large sweet Bull Mastif puppy. He was sad or he just missed all the attention from the kiddos as they played with him through out the day. He sat and looked down the driveway several times during the day but he did eat and drink and slept at times. We loved up on him, took him for a short hike and gave him much attention but nothing like the kiddos who chased him around the yards.
I did get some garden work in with his attention some where else. He usually likes to be under foot but he slept on both porches and in different parts of the yard throughout the day which gave me a chance to get some work done. I managed to loosen up the ground in the portrait fence flower bed and sow zinnias seeds as well as in the circle drive bed and transplant my 4 hills of crooked neck and zucchini squash without his help and then in the back yard beds I set out the potted sweet onions, the celebrity tomato plants and the jalapeno pepper plants as well as the basil, cilantro, parsley and dill herbs. I resowed the kale and Swiss chard seeds into containers as they didn't germinate in the ground due to all the rain we had for a couple days
We took a hike to the top of the mountain leaving Rocky in his cage for about an hour and half. He did just fine. We saw Laney and Dorothy the new owners of the recently built huge house on top and they gave us the tour. It's very large and modern with awesome views out the front windows and porch areas. We heard the huge house that Fred and Brenda built is going on the market as it's sat empty now for a couple years or more. There were workman doing some repairs to the deck areas a couple days ago but it seems they have run into a problem with termites and wood rot on that area. The house is majestic with three floor and a fantastic garage/work house area which is separate. Their view is awesome as well.
Well we started cleaning up leftovers with chicken fajitas for our supper. I stir fried peppers and onions on the outside grill for the leftover marinated breasts from a couple days ago and with some salsa and a jalapeno pepper my meal was complete. After the clean up we piddled around outside with Rocky until the Ray's game came on and they lost once again to the Yankees 4-3 in a close game. Their pitching out did our bats for a change. It was soon shower time and then some horizontal lab around 11, LATER
The house pictured above will soon come on the market. There is Rocky sleeping while I worked in the flower bed and a selfie with Nancy as he looked down the driveway for the kiddos.
