The day started much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my usual routines which is a cup of hot green tea, quiet times to honor my Creator and lift up several for comfort and healing and now it seems I may have an issue in the left leg with some swelling. Several years ago I injured the leg and caused a blood clot to form which I put off seeing any medical help thinking it was just a muscle issue. Well it was a huge blood clot that was detected by an ultrasound machine and Dr. Koviach here in Sparta who diagnosed and treated me for the problem with heparin and warfarin. I got over that in no time and was back on my feet literally with no later issues until this past several days when I noticed some swelling in the same foot and lower leg area. I contributed it to back hiking again after being laid up with the lower back and knee pain that is now mostly healed by using two regiments of prednisone. I suppose I should have another look at the leg and possibly another ultrasound on the area, oh well. I just hate these issues that may now be coming with age but its beats the alternative.
We had a delicious sandwich at the pizzeria as did everyone at our table and we so enjoyed our visit with these awesome folks. The Luffman's are exceptional folks and we now call them our "mountain family" as we eat out and in home together often. Afterwards we headed home and just beat the storm that was hitting Sparta and heading our way with a few sprinkles on the windshield but by the time we pulled into our drive the sun was shining and we got no rain. We sat and digested for a few then got into a couple of games of Kings on the Corner where each of us won a game. Since we had such a filling lunch we decided to just have a deer burger around 7'ish after getting back from a long hike to the top of the mountain. We stopped and chatted with a couple of folks on top and while the skies were bright with sunshine and a cool evening breeze we could hear in the distant the rumble of thunder.
We made it up the steep back trail with only one stop whereas a couple days ago it was at least three stops to rest and then on the second incline again only one rest stop whereas before it was at least two and three rest stops. So that means we are finally getting back into some physical shape and now I'm looking again at being immobile with this swelling in the leg, if it turns out to be the beginning of another blood clot. I know once you have one in a certain area its more susceptible to another forming, but thus far its just some swelling with no heat or redness in the area which is a major characteristic to a thrombosis. I will monitor it closely and see what the medical staff thinks is the right thing to do since Dr. Koviach has retired from the profession.
We got to listening to a young man by the name of Charlie Kirk who was a guest speaker at the Calvary Church in Chino California with a pastor named Jack Hibbs who our friends in Seminole turned us onto. Kirk is a conservative who started this program titled Turning Point USA which advocates we who are the patriotic conservative christians in American to taking back our nation from the radical liberals who are pushing this one world order or globalist theory in our colleges and universities. He speaks openly throughout the USA on those college campuses and has quite a following that is opening the eyes of our young folks about what mainstream academia is doing to thwart his opinions and shut him down as they promote the socialist/communism ideology and the destruction of our constitution and culture with such radical means as; rioting, looting, killing and maiming to so many by using this fear to intimidate the masses and thus get their way.
He is a huge advocate that GOD is using Trump to save America from these who want to change US(A) with their logic which is the killing of the unborn, destroying the family unit, the charge of racism to destroy our nation by these radicals, the promotion of drugs to numb the masses into their lack of being productive as well defunding any police protection against those who will take advantage of the weak and now he believes this pandemic or virus is another means they are using to create havoc and thus control of our lives with these power hungry governors. He is a huge advocate of our Judeo-Christian beliefs and of the written word in the Bible which has lead US(A) to be at one time the model for civilization and that our republic was not just happenstance but directly responsible by our founding fathers all of which these dem's, Leftist and those who want power again and thus control of our lives, excoriate and hate. These folks are evil and want US(A) to become like Europe which is a model for the destruction of personal liberties and freedoms and our GOD given rights. They have convinced the masses that GOD isn't important in today's society and we are now seeing the results of their advocacy in removing anything associated with His teaching and commandments which has from the beginning of our country been the foundation of our republic.
