Well we have been here for a month and now its raining once again after starting yesterday morning. The fog is back as well and its forecasted to be like this for the rest of the week. I'm beginning to think ARK. We had 6 inches a couple weeks ago when we first got here and I believe we will see that or more again. At least we aren't scorching from the heat or in drought. The garden was looking fine but with this much rain I'm not sure it will survive, oh well.
I started Monday with a well before 6 rollout to my usual routines that start with some quiet times after posting this ramble to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and to lift up several for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding as I make this post. After a quick breakfast of oatmeal, with pecans, cinnamon and honey with a banana in the mix I headed out to check on the gardens and flower beds. I did see a little blue in skies over head but in the distant it looked like the front was moving in. I fired up the riding mower and started mowing all of the yards and just as I finished about 2 hours later it began to sprinkle and then the rain fell and hasn't stopped much since then. I did venture out during that afternoon lull to transplant a couple dahlia's into some bare spots in the one flower bed and to sow more marigold seeds in the circle drive which should if they germinate made that a beautiful bed of flowering plants.
Once the rains started again after lunch I headed down to the basement and vacuumed and then wet mopped the floor. I'll do the upstairs floors tomorrow before our first time ever guests arrive for a couple days. Nancy as always is worrying about making a good impression with the cabin and food prep, so we are off to Sparta today to shop and go to the library. After a supper of fresh asparagus and left over chicken we settled in the college baseball world series and watched Wake Forest beat LSU in a close fought game to get into the final rounds. They throw the ball as hard as the majors, but use aluminum bats whereas the majors use wooden bats. I find that the only difference in the game.
Well its poring rain as I make this post and I suppose the driveway will have gully's from all the down pours. Hopefully we can get in and out in all this rain, LATER
