Friday Morning August 7th

Well I must say all of the well wishes shown to me yesterday was awesome. So many gifts, cards and goodies inside of them and the social media was on fire with likes, loves and comments that stirred my heart. It was a good day and I'm most thankful for all. I know most all feel the same love for our nation and the best gift anyone could be Blessed with is still having a nation that honors GOD, Family and those Patriots who fought for our Flag, Anthem and our Constitution. I beg all to vote this November to preserve these mentioned above because we see where evil has permeated the government of the nation and in most of our large cities under the control of the corrupt democrat party. That party is no longer for America and they have now become the enemy of all that we love and cherish and we are seeing just the tip of what will happen with the violence in our streets and the disrespect for the rule of law if they some how steal this coming election or if christians don't vote.

I rolled out to my usual 6 ish start of the day on this 74th year of my existence. Where did those years go and so fast. I'm totally blessed with reasonable good health although this summer has thrown a few "monkey wrenches" into that thinking with the severe lower back pain and now this blood clot in the left leg which has me on some powerful expensive meds which I don't have the medicare plan D for scripts, oh well. Maybe this will change my thinking on getting that part of my health care plan, anyhow I did see a health care provider for the first time and I really like this guy who is a one step down or up from a M.D. behind his name. I called him doc he reminded me he wasn't one which showed me his humility or humbleness but he is in the office with an M.D. He was very through with me and knowledgeable of the issues I was facing. I decided to make him my PCP while here in the mountains since the one I used occasionally over the years has retired.

Nancy and I ran some errands afterwards to the post office, the dump, the grocery store and then to a local eatery where we found the best pizza in town last week when we ate there with friends. It's called Crave and it's American/Italian cuisine. Our server was awesome and somehow we mentioned it was my birthday and she surprised us with a piece of chocolate cake with the Happy Birthday written on the the rim of the plate. That was very thoughtful of her. The pizza is the best we have found in the county thus far with fresh mushrooms and the crust is just delicious. We were so stuffed by the time we left around 2' ish we decided to skip the meal we had planned for at suppertime. We will fix the rib eye's and corn on the cob Saturday instead as we are heading over to the Kimberley's today (Fri) for finger foods and Sequence with her family and friends.

Well we were going to hike once we digested the pizza but the skies clouded over with booming thunder and heavy rain until nearly dark, so we sat and played Kings on the Corner which is a perfect two person game unless your playing against Nancy who is a master at coming from behind to win; and she does so nearly every game. I got calls from both first Amy and then Bobby wishing me well on this special day and then baby sister Dee called. Mike her hubby is getting ready for his knee replacement next week. All seem well with them and their family. We are hoping later in September to make a trip up the valley to see family but with so many folks coming in the next few weeks we aren't sure that will happen this summer, especially with my infirmities. We will see how the rest of the summer plays out, LATER

Just a few pics of the day and the rain was about as heavy as I've ever seen.
