Well Sunday was a great day of worship as we travelled to a new venue for us at the mega church at Indian Rocks. That is where both Bobby and Amy got their education which readied them for college. We saw lots of familiar faces and even a few that recognized us but us not them. We heard a great message on Ruth and Naomi which are in the lineage of Jesus. We rode with the Botbyl's and afterwards ate lunch out at a new eatery close by. We went back to our old church in Seminole to watch the Kids Christmas program at 6 and took GG with us. Ava and Sam were both in the program.
The day started with a 6'ish roll for us as the church service started at 9 but since it was just 10 minutes or so away it sure made it nice for not traveling an hour on the interstate. The weather was perfect with a gentle breeze and in the 60's to start the day with lots of sunshine. It did reach the low 80's by late evening and the humidity wasn't as bad. We did our usual morning routines of a few quiet moments, a lite breakfast and then the posting of this ramble before meeting up with Dan and Carol. Indian Rocks Church is huge which probably seats somewhere close to a couple thousand at one time. I would estimate 6-7 hundred for this service of which there are three. Since Bobby has led worship there a time or two and I use to play tennis with one of the associate pastors as well as one of the pastors was Bobby and Amy's teachers at the school we were soon recognized. So we felt very welcomed and saw many others as well that we were quite familiar with. One of the deacons plays pickle ball with me as well and is an Amway customer of mine.
We ate almost next door at the Savory eatery house and the food was very good, plentiful and the house was packed. I made myself known by overturning a glass of water on the table and floor just as we finished eating, oh well I know better than to put a straw in my glass next time as I caught my hand on it sticking out of the glass. We came back and I settled into the Bucs win over the Falcons while Nancy took her mother, GG shopping. We just snacked a little with some leftovers before heading out to SFB for the program.
Ava is very much into the children's programs and while Sam was in it for the first year his attention span is somewhat limited. He was just so cute and had us all in smiles as he was front and center on the stage. Afterwards there was a social in the fellowship hall and we mingles with old friends while the kiddos snacked. We headed out with GG and dropped her off and came back to watch the last couple minutes of the Panthers vs Saints and while N.C. won it was very close in scoring as they stayed as the only team with a perfect record thus far this season.
Well it wasn't long after 9 that I headed to the bedroom and watched another game on my new 19 inch LED TV. While it is paper thin compared to the old one and so small in size the picture is nice and for some reason I have more channels. We unfortunately watched this potus give a somewhat boring speech from the Oval Office and it really said nothing as he is continuing to babble the same pablum about being nice to Muslims and not offending them while they continue to terrorize the nation with their radical element. His plan is useless without putting boots on the ground and most of us know that; as well as letting those who are caring out air strikes to target the main objectives. He is just incompetent and lacks any courage to carry out an aggressive campaign to annihilate these radical Islamist. He finally said the word"terrorist" but never mention radical Islam. Oh well I'm sure we will see more carnage here in America as long as we have this lack of leadership on destroying these fanatics, LATER
