Monday Morning

Well Sunday found us socked in with fog and rain throughout the day and at times you could not see off the porches. We did get out early in the morning for church in Sparta and for lunch at an authentic Mexican eatery afterwards before heading back to the cabin where we stayed inside the rest of the day. Rain once again awakened me during the night with tremendous down pours and I'm anxious about the possible wash out on the driveway.

The day started much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my usual routines of hot green tea, quiet time and the posting of this ramble before listening to our home church in Florida on line and then heading to Sparta for worship at Cornerstone. We met up with Mechelle and her daughter Kallie and beau Juan along with Gerald and Kay her folks and Patrick for lunch. Kathryn was under the weather  so she stayed home. I loved the food and it was very authentic with an delicious hot salsa but Nancy was not thrilled with her selection, oh well.

We headed over to Walgreens afterwards to pick up a script for Nancy then headed home. It was really foggy on the mountain and we could hear the drizzle on the tin roof all evening and thank goodness there was some sports on the tube as I vegetated for a change on the couch watching baseball, tennis, football and UFC fighting. I ventured out on the porch a couple times but that was as far as I got. I was hoping to get in a hike but it was just to wet and soupy and the visibility was next to none. Thankfully this morning the fog is gone but the clouds are still present and its looking like another wet day as I make this post; but its early yet.

That was about it for the day, the worship both here at the cabin and again in Sparta was awesome and the lunch with friends was great as well. We skipped supper except for Nancy having a salad and I popped a bowl of corn the old fashion way which is always delicious. Both of our favorite teams won in Florida with the Ray's sweeping the Orioles and Bucs won in New Orleans, wow and they both were on the tube here at the cabin. We usually never get either one but yesterday was a first, LATER
