Well Monday started and ended with overcast skies and finally some much needed rain although it wasn't our usual downpours, the wetness was much appreciated by my garden plants. We received our Christmas present for ourselves around 4 PM delivered by UPS which changed how we spent the rest of the evening and night. Never in all of my life have I ever heard such awesome sounds coming from a small box like device that we sat and listened to the rest of the day right up to almost bedtime. We never even turned on the TV until nearly 10 o'clock just before bedtime as we were mesmerized by the Bose Wave Music System III. The sounds we heard were as if an orchestra was in the same room with us it was just that awesome.
The day started with a 6'ish roll out. After my quiet times and usual routines of spending a few minutes with my creator and then the posting of this ramble I got ready to ride to the rec for nearly 2 plus hours of pickle ball. The temps had dropped a little so I wore and extra flannel shirt to ward off any chill. We are just about over the crud that has plagued us the past couple weeks and I didn't want to ride my bike while wearing a wet shirt after my workout. We had a full crew this morning with all advanced players and the play was fast and furious with some great rallies. Afterwards, I piddled around in the garden harvesting enough lettuces, beet greens and kale to make a huge salad that should last a couple days. We are now through with buying lettuce at the grocery hopefully for several months. Despite the skies being overcast the past couple days and no real measurable rain on Sunday, the sandy soil was dried out so I hand watered right up until it started to drizzle rain.
Today was the last day that Amy and the kiddos won't be here for lunch as Tyler's folks head back to Kansas in the AM. We sure missed seeing and playing with them each day for a couple hours. They will be back on regular lunchtime schedule starting today(Tue). After cleaning the garden veggies I read until lunchtime and then while it rained I read for most of the afternoon except for vacuuming. One of our friends has an armadillo problem with them digging in his garden and flower beds. I just happen to have a small animal trap and learned a lot about this animal that is nearly blind by researching what they eat and if there is any bait used to trap them of which there really is no one bait they eat. They love worms and grubs and are horrific diggers looking for them especially here in the sunshine state.
Well let me just say after we received the much longing for Bose System we play the demo CD and it was just magnificent we listened to it several times as well as played some great instrumental CD's. The sound that comes from this radio and CD combination is just phenomenal. I'm so sorry I wasted all of these years of not hearing such great musical sounds which makes you think your right there while its being made, unbelievable and we are in love with it already. It comes with a small hand held remote and I'm thinking about running our TV sound through this system as it is compatible for that as well. We decided to purchase this after hearing our friends the Tracy's system a few months ago but they are not inexpensive; but last month through Amway's Ribbon Gift that was BOGO we decided to splurge as we now have another Ribbon Gift to purchase a 42" LED TV. So we get the Bose and LED for what the price of one would have been and to top it off once again our team leaders have made the BOGO offer again this month, not only on all the Ribbon Gifts but for the entire catalog of items. They themselves purchase the BOGO'S and bless you with their generosity at then end of the month. We have been very blessed to be with this team who have made Amway their business and they have done very well with their marketing skills. Check us out at www.amway.com/JNTriplett and become a part of this very successful business with awesome leaders. Remember it costs you nothing to become a customer and each month I send out a news letter to what our team leaders have made special to all of us through their business.
Well I've rambled enough about this Bose system but we gave up all of Fox News which reports the real facts about what this inept administration is doing to our country. The change from listening to the news to some awesome music was so delightful that I ordered a couple soundtracks for Les Miserable, John Williams greatest hits and from Dances with Wolves. We listened to some old Christmas music CD's and it was great and refreshing for the spirit and so good for the soul. I remember the late Paul Harvey always extolling about the Bose System and now I realize he was absolutely right on, LATER
