Well Thursday started out a little on the chilly side but by early afternoon the heat and humidity came back full force, yikes for a few moments while working in the garage redoing a piece of furniture it felt like August. I was soon drenched in sweat to say the least and the garden plants were showing some signs as well despite being hand watered after pickle ball.
I started the day much the usual; hot tea, prayer time and then a ride out to the Rec. for two solid hours of pickle ball play. I left there with a wet head and shirt as well. I came home and hand watered the gardens which are looking great. I harvested two bags of the leafy greens for Betsy who came by later in the day blessing her with collards, Swiss chard and beet greens. All of these are super foods and all are organic as you can get. The cucumber plants have tons of blooms and if all of them make I will be setting up a vegetable stand curb side.
Nancy decided to take a hike through the hood and when she came back she was on fire so the A/C went back on and by late afternoon the humidity made it necessary as well. I piddled around after lunch and decided to restore one of our shelves in the garage. The legs were starting to go so I beefed them up and made some changes but the heat and humidity came on quickly. I'm supposed to redo the kitchen table as Nancy has her mind set on changing the color and table top to some set she saw in an Amish shop which was priced out of our limit. I'll work on that today in the garage and the Botbyl's will refinish the top to suit Nancy's desire. I say if it "ain't broke do not fix it"but she stays up at night and watching all these HGTV shows and get these ideals to keep me busy or break the bank account.
The little fellers are doing good although Huck is having some eating issues of keeping down what he takes in. They maybe going home if he can gain some weight and keep down his milk in the next week or so. The breathing issues are resolved by Ryder and he is gaining as well and is over 6 pounds. Huck is over 3 pounds and gaining a few ounces a day. Everything else is good for these preemies and I know Bobby and Katie will be glad to get them home but they are getting around the clock care which is giving them a break and for her to regain her strength especially when she will be handling two at a time.
Not much else is going on except time is on the march as this new year is upon us. I'm counting down the time until our return to the cabin especially after the hot and humid afternoon, LATER
