Sunday Morning Sept 1st

Well I closed out August with a total work morning as I worked on the lower stump for what seemed hours; drilling and sawing. At least it was rather nice until the sun came out of the clouds and started heating things up. By then it was lunch time and I was about to finish up except for the clean up and some minor "honey do's". I spent the afternoon on the back porch reading.

I had started the day with my well before 6 rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet time after posting this ramble to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding with this post. I headed out to check on the gardens but first did some stretching on the back porch before doing my mile walk around the perimeter on the property. Nancy still worries about me hiking up through the woods to the top of the mountain because a bear has been seen recently on a wildlife cameras down from us, so I get just as much exercise on the walk around the perimeter, plus I get to plan on what needs to be accomplished around the yards and gardens. Everyone else around gets the bear on their camera but for some reason which is good it never comes into our yards where I have my camera set up, oh well.

I harvested more tomato's and saved some seeds from these to sow when we get back to Florida in October. It seems now we are heading back on the 20th which is a Sunday and I like to travel on that day due to less truck traffic and because we are watching the twins starting that Friday for the weekend while Bobby and Katie head to Montana for a vacation. Anyhow that will give us a week to put the house in order and stock up before staying in Brandon with the boys, plus I can get my garden rotor tilled and maybe even get in some pickle ball during the mornings before we leave for the weekend.

Well I finished the book titled TAKEN by Dee Henderson and it was a page turner and now have one more book to read of the 5 books I picked up a week ago. I love sitting on the back porch in the shade during the afternoons and read after a morning of work around the cabin. We ate some BLT's for lunch with my garden tomato's and wow what a treat and then we finished up the left over zucchini(from my garden) boats with pasta for our supper which was another delicious meal. I tuned into the Ray's game and they finally won a game.

Well that was about it for the day and after a hot shower I hit the sack with lights out around 10'ish. Today is corporate worship day both on line and then again at Cornerstone in Sparta, LATER
