Well Tuesday was another great day weather wise with cool temps in the morning and then warm sunshine up to nearly 70'ish in the afternoon. I got in a good workout at the Rec. then worked the rest of the day on the cabinets both in the garage and in the kitchen. We had Amy and Eliza for a lunch of our delicious vegetable soup and while we were scheduled to have supper ay GG's all that changed completely with Eric(Nancy's brother) missed his scheduled flight here from Detroit.
I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out. I spent some quiet time with my Creator after posting the ramble and I did have a short conversation with Paw Paw in the late afternoon. He seemed well and complained some about the knee pain but he has grown accustom to the wheel chair with getting around in the ALF. He mentioned it was very cold there with snow on the ground. We did speak with sister Dee later in the evening as well and she is taking him today(Wed.) to the VA for an appointment. It was good too hear him talk on the phone.
I got in a good hour and half play on the pickle ball court and we had lots of new players many of whom were beginners. I tried to help them learn the game as well as gave some pointers. We had one court mainly for A players which gave us a good workout. I headed home around 9:30 to hand water the garden and then picked a couple of more tomatoes. The cucumbers are showing the effects of the cold temps the past couple of days with many of the leaves turning brown but there is still some new growth with lots of blooms. Maybe they will make but every thing else is doing great with no obvious ill effects of the cold mornings. I did have to take the blower and clean off the roof as well as the gutters as the wind did drop lots of small twigs and acorns on the roof.
Well I hung a couple of cabinet doors with the newly painted hinges and they look great. I want to give them another finish coat of paint after they are hung especially the flat front surface. Nancy is thrilled with how they have turned out as am I. I still have a ways to go but I'm seeing some progress. I didn't see the second half of the college playoff game but learned Clemson beat the Tide in the last play of the game. Wow from what I read it was an exciting finish to a game I thought 'Bama and clearly won when I cut the lights out at half time, Oh well. I couldn't stomach to watch this inept potus give himself a pat on the back in his farewell speech for attempting to destroy our nation and which he nearly completed. Thankfully the working class of America soundly defeated his programs and he will go down as the worst potus of all time and the left leaning elitist will be recognized as corrupt and nothing but a special interests party, LATER
