Tuesday Morning

Well Monday was rather chilly to start the day with temps into the low 40's but by early afternoon it was up to the middle 60's and even reached a delightful 70 by late afternoon. The sun was shining and a gentle breeze kept it very comfortable. I managed about 5 hours work on the cabinets after a morning workout at the Rec. Nancy was driving her mom to various appointments and was gone most of the afternoon.

The day started with my usual 6'ish rollout to start the day. It was rather chilly in the house so Nancy had the heat on but not nearly as cold as Sunday Morning. The wind had died down to a gentle breeze whereas on Sunday it was blowing rather hard which made the 30 degree temps seem much colder with the wind chill. I had my cup of hot green/ginger tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent a few quiet moments with my Creator in thanksgiving and intercessory prayer for those I know and love who are hurting. Afterwards I grabbed an apple and got ready to head out to the Rec. on my bike for a workout on the pickle ball court. It was a chilly ride to say the least. I had some good workout for about an hour and half before heading home to hand water the gardens after picking another nice mess of green beans, kale, parsley and cabbage leaves to go into the huge pot of vegetable beef soup Nancy was putting together for supper. Yeow was that ever tasty and of course the pot grew which means leftovers for a day or so.

I started on the other side of the kitchen cabinets and removed 5 doors taking the hardware off then sanded them before applying two coats of BIN primer. This primer dries in about 15 minutes and is almost like water in its texture but it binds so well and so hard. I worked on the hardware as well giving it another coat of spray paint. I stayed busy until almost 5 o'clock then headed over to Amy's to pickup the ladder and take them three volunteer tomato plants I had started for their garden. I picked 6 ripening tomato's from my side garden. I wanted to pick them not quite ripe as either the squirrels or fruit rats have a tendency to bite them if I leave them to vine ripen.

The vegetable soup was awesome and was perfect for this weather as the evening began to quickly cool down. Patrick came by to see the progress on the cabinets and stayed and had a bowl or two with us as well. It was delicious. After the cleanup I settled into the Fox Cable News and once again the Hollywood left made a fool of theirselves with their left leaning elitist pablum with Merrill Streep embarrassing herself. She has played some great parts in movies but that is all. She is a pretender to be something that's she's not and why she thinks she is so right in politics is beyond me. These elitist need to keep their jawing within their body of believers who are pretenders, oh well. I'll boycott her movies and most movies as well. I'm one of those who like sports and real news; not the fake stuff that most of the main stream media babbles about.

I headed for the hot shower and afterwards tuned into the last college football game of the season. Alabama was ahead when I cut the lights out around 10 and this AM I found that Clemson came back for a win in the closing seconds. What I saw in the first half was a hard hitting game between both clubs and the Tide was running the ball right up the field. I'm very surprised they lost. There must have been some good adjustments at half time. Well that was about it for the day. I think out winter may be behind us as the two day cold front seems to have melted away. The cucumbers were touched by the cold wind but I didn't see any other obvious damage to the garden, LATER
