Wednesday Morning

Well its a little after midnight on Wednesday Morning and I was awakened by a throbbing painful jaw. I'm scheduled for an appointment this morning at 11:30 to have these two molars checked that were recently prepped for crowns. Well from past pain experience I'm looking at least one or maybe both teeth for root canals despite seeing my regular dentist today who saw no reason this should occur. He x-rayed and probed around my jaw and saw no evidence of infection and so far just OTC pain meds have kept the discomfort in check; but that changed for some reason this time of the night or morning and I'm suffering, Yeow!!!

Tuesday started out with my usual morning routines after a before 6 roll out. After a few quiet moments and a lite breakfast I pedaled out to the rec on my bike for some 2 hours of pickle ball play. We mainly had A payers but eventually a few of the B players joined in so we set up a challenge court which appeased those few players who don't like playing with the less skilled. I played on both courts which kept me in some action for the whole period of play. Tomorrow we lose one of our A players who is going back to Canada for the summer, but he is like myself and can play at any skill level. We will miss you Pat and your love of the game. He is going back to snow on the ground and nights with below freezing temps. Well we all had soaked shirts by 10 AM so I headed home to check on Nancy and to see when she was going to the hospital in Clearwater to see her mom who is still there. She and Eric decided to go there after lunch and they spent the afternoon there until suppertime. GG has been moved out of the ICU area down to a floor with less privacy as she is doing much better. They think she may have had ulcers that could have contributed to this blood loss which triggered this sudden heart discomfort which now the doctors aren't real sure if she had a heart attack. She has received two units of blood and 2 units of iron and now seems to be doing much better and is looking forward to coming home. I want to thank all who lifted her up in your thoughts and prayers during this time with what appeared life threatening conditions.

On a sad note but at the same time a burden has been lifted with the passing of our neighbor Carol's mom Jessie who has been under hospice care for some time. She and GG are the same age but Jessie suffered terribly these last few months and now she is home with the Lord. Her failing health has been an awful thing to witness for the whole family but especially for Carol and Dan as they have been her sole care givers which required constant attention.

I grilled bone-in pork chops for supper and we finished up the best tasting collards greens I've prepared this year along with some yellow rice. Eric ate with us and then Betsy called from the hospital as we were getting ready to leave to go back there and said GG was going to sleep so there was no need for all of us to come. We settled into the Ray's game and watched them lose 2-0 a close one despite some good pitching to the Red Sox. Tonight the Lightning get back on the ice in their quest for the Stanley Cup, LATER

Well the pain has somewhat subsided with some Aleve gel caps so I will try to get back to sleep as its after 1 in the morning.
