Well this old allergy is still hanging on with a stuffy nose and some congestion in the chest so I decided to forego any pickle ball for a couple days. That meant I slept in until nearly 8:30 before starting the day. One of the nice things about being retired.
After a cup of hot green tea and a handful of vitamins and supplements I started the day with the posting of this ramble and a few quiet moments. My whole routine was juxtaposed due to the hoarse voice and fuzzy head which I think is from the Night Blooming Jasmine that is on our front porch and back fence and possibly the Magnolia Tree that is full bloom next door. The smells are awesome around the house or maybe I have contracted a summer cold; either of which had left me somewhat limited as to how much of a workout I want to put my body through. I know by last Friday at 10 o'clock I was whipped from all of the pickle ball play during the week so maybe I let my resistance down from too much activity.
I headed out after a lite breakfast to hand water the new seedlings as we never received any of the forecasted rain. The summer heat and humidity are here to stay it seems like. After watering the garden and front yards by hand I headed in to read until lunch time. Amy picked up GG and dropped Sam off while Nancy was at her 6 months doctor's appointment. Her results came back with the limits. Sam and I were buddy's as he is in a constant snack mode. He even ate fairly large lunch as well. Amy and GG brought some leftovers from Carrabas Restaurant for me and they were tasty and a bit spicy.
After lunch I did my music time Eliza and she was in the entertainment mode as she smiles and cooed the whole time especially when she fills her britches. She is such a delight. Well after they left I took a short nap then read while Nancy did here trek through the hood with the temps in the low 90. She was red faced when she got home. We chilled until it was time to heat up a leftover brat and some potato salad for supper. After the cleanup I headed out to hand water the seedlings in the garden and the front grass sprigs again until nearly dark.
Well that was about it for the day as we both headed for the showers and then I watched a little Fox News before falling asleep around 10, LATER
