Sunday Morning July 2nd

Well I'm up early once again after a busy day on Saturday that started out with a well before 6 rollout to my routines and some quiet moments to honor my Lord, give thanks for another day and lift several up for comfort and healing as well as traveling mercies for my son and his family as the travelled from Brandon, Fl. to here. It took them about 12 hours which is about right especially when traveling with two 3 years and two teenagers. We had a huge supper waiting for them but first those boys ran down the hill and tumbled over several times as they got their mountain legs under them. They thought it was so much fun tumbling down the steep yard that I was concerned for their safety at times.

We both worked all day getting the place ready for them and then because of a change in sleeping arrangements we had to undo a couple mattresses and get the bunk beds ready for Annsley and Gabe in the basement. They both were excited about that which means the twins were in a separate room together which worked out fine as that gave Bobby and Katie some privacy. After a supper of spaghetti and meatballs with a fresh garden salad  and garlic bread I took the twins on a golf cart ride to the top of the mountain as they mention a ride when they first got here. Someone scrapped the ruts out of the back road to the top which had huge ruts from the water run off a week or so ago when we had 8 inches in one rainy period over several days. We saw no one which was surprising for it being a holiday weekend.

We got back and let the boys run and play outside as they loved the grass and the hilly yard. They rolled down the yards and picked wild flowers from the backwoods yards for Katie. We had cheesecake for them and me as well as Gabe. They are so cute and full of energy and after a shower they were ready for bed. It took them awhile to settle down after being threaten a few times but eventually they were out. We taught the big kids as well as Bobby and Katie, the new game Jokers and Pegs and they loved it as we played gals vs guys and we(guys) won both games. It was going on 11 before we all got showers and ready for bed.

We head out this AM for Boone so I'll be away from this keyboard until Monday some time, LATER
