Well Wednesday was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and blue skies finally after being socked in with overcast foggy skies for what seemed like forever. I did manage to finally get the yards mowed and our guests from Florida arrived around 3'ish. We had a joyous reunion as we haven't seen them since May. It is their first time ever to the mountains of N.C. and they seemed to be enthralled with the beauty of the mountains. We even took a hike after a late supper to the top of the mountains and came back in the near darkness.
I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric after my morning handful of vitamins and supplements. I did my quiet time giving thanks to my Creator and Lord and lifting up several by name. All is well with those I lift up daily for healing and comfort as I've heard nothing to the contrary. After a light breakfast of oatmeal, honey, pecans and a banana I ventured out to check on the gardens and yards. The deer seem to love the black raspberry bushes and are nightly munching on the new growth. Next year I'll leave the fence and stop their foraging.
The dew was heavy on the grass so it took until after lunch for the grass to dry out enough to mow which finally did around noon. It took me a couple hours to do all of the yards. I did notice the recently sowed seeds were sprouting and showing some color.
Well since my company are early risers as well I'll cut this ramble short but we did do a delicious supper on the grill with a veggie basket and marinated chicken breasts as well as a fresh garden salad. We talked non stop until after 10 and then decided to hit the sack. I'm off to see the doctor this morning to get a final report on my blood clot that formed in the left leg as a result I believe from using the drug prednisone. Anyhow the weather is perfect and we want to show them all the touristy things we usually do with new visitors to our beautiful mountains, LATER
