Well Saturday was a busy day that started with a chilly start but with lots of sunshine and a stiff breeze made it feel even colder as we were outside from about 12 until 3 at Gabe's ball game in Brandon. I was up around 7 for a change and then Nancy made a semi mountain breakfast with eggs, bacon and fried taters after our quiet times and postings. I added a fresh chopped jalapeno pepper to my taters which always wakes up the taste buds.
We did our routines that always start with a few quiet moments to lift up several and give thanks for our blessings. All seem as well as can be expected. We did speak with our "mountain mom" Helen on the way over to Brandon and they received a couple inches of the frozen white stuff which was partly gone by days end. It was down right chilly here to start the day but the wind made it feel even older in the shade especially at the open field of the ball park.
We watched, fed and changed diapers for a couple hours before we headed to the park with the "boys". Katie had them in the double stroller and they did fine all bundled up and we even fed them one time there as well. Gabe's team lost 12-9 in a good game and they had a change to bring home the win but a couple errors cost them the game which is usually the reason for losses even in the big leagues, oh well. The other team hit the ball quite well and had good pitching as well but we came back a couple times to make it close except for the last inning when we were shut down.
We had Amy, Sam and Eliza for a supper of tacos and guacamole as Tyler took Ava to a USF girls basketball game in Tampa along with another friend who got them free tickets. Amy and kiddos stayed until nearly 7 before heading home. I did get to see a little of the Lightning win for the first time in 4 games as their star player is out for several weeks due to an injury. These hockey players are the real athletes in my book. It wasn't long around 9 that I hit the showers and watched a little of Nat. Geo. before turning the lights out around 10. It was an early morning start for me with a 5'ish roll out for the load in at the college for BridgePoint Church, LATER
