Well Sunday was an awesome day of worship, a great lunch out and then a fun evening on the pickle ball court. We started the day with a 6'ish roll out as we had to leave by 9:30 for corporate worship at Cornerstone but first we listened live to our BridgePoint Church message by pastor Tim Whipple. He is an awesome speaker and fills you with so much info which leaves you feeling why has this message stopped after about 30-40 minutes or so. We love watching the live early service on line before heading out.
At Cornerstone we heard from four missionaries one of which was from our church on their 2 weeks in orphanages in Rumania. Most of us were in tears as they shared their experiences with new born babies as well as many kids declared unworthy. Some will never received any care other than enough to sustain life and if they achieve adult hood if will be of their ability to cope with the lack of care and compassion. Such sad situations these kids are exposed to when abandoned by their parents and they become awards of the state.
We headed out afterwards to meet with the Tracy's along with Mechelle. We did get to meet our young friend Caleb and his girlfriend Cortland at church and she is a keeper. They are so cute together and now that he is driving we will see less of him on family outings. We had a delicious lunch from the salad bar at the Pizzeria and then we headed for the cabin after a quick stop at the grocery. The weather was perfect once again with low humidity, bright sunshine and temps in the high 70's.
We tuned into the little league game and watched a very good N.C. team annihilate a California team with nearly another perfect game. They seem to be the team to beat so far and should go "all the way". I got ready around 5 and headed out to Roaring Gap for nearly two hours of pickle ball play. I left soaked with sweat and some tired muscles after not losing with several different partners for nearly an hour. I was on today and only lost one game the whole afternoon. I sure felt the muscles after resting before hitting the showers and by 10, I was ready for some horizontal lab. Today we head over to the Tracy's for an eclipse party in the afternoon. The visibility is supposed be about 95% from our location. We will leave early so as to run some errands before the big event, LATER
