Well we had an uneventful trip which is always nice when your traveling. We made a couple potty stops and to recirculate the blood in the legs along the way and the one stop along Alligator Alley had a bunch of vultures just sitting around the picnic tables, wow was that ever crazy. We weren't sure if that was an omen or not but these birds would allow you to get with 2-3 feet before they just walked away. They are one ugly bird but are necessary and that is why they are protected, oh well I thought that was interesting to say the least. We did hit some rain along the way and once we got into Miami it was a stand still at times on the interstate and that road on the way out of town was a parking lot. It was still a parking lot when Arianne left the hospital to head north an hour or so later.
GG seemed to be in good spirits and happy to see us. She failed her swallow test today and is still hooked up with drain tubes to her chest cavity. Her left arm is still swollen so she is still retaining fluids and that is one of the problems with her getting released to a rehab facility. Nancy read her several cards from her choir friends she had received and that seemed to cheer her up. We are concerned she has no muscles left in her legs and standing was impossible for her earlier in the day when they attempted to get her out of bed. I'm afraid that is going to be a major problem later if she gets to rehab.
We headed over to an Apollo eatery on campus about 8 and had a late supper of chicken, salad, rice and fries which was tasty and filing. About 9'ish we headed out for Hollywood and the traffic was at least moving better than a couple hours ago. I have no idea why so many folks find this area so inviting but there is no shortage of people on the roads. Finally around 10:30 I headed for the shower and some horizontal lab. I have no idea what time Nancy came to bed as she Arianne talked into the wee hours of the morning, LATER
