Sunday Morning

Well Saturday was a busy fun filled day with mainky family in the afternoon but started with us biking, doing gardening for me while Nancy got ready for all the grand kiddos and their cookie making session, a trip to the park with kiddos while the gals cleaned up the kitchen and then home made pizzas by Bobby for all of us except Tyler who has a gluten allergy he settled for a burger and fries and then we played the game THINGS including Ava and Annsley. Everyone cleared out for their homes around 8'ish. Whew what a busy day.

I started the day with a sleep in until 7'ish as it was after midnight before we got to bed the night before. That was quite unusual for my internal alarm to let me sleep past 6. I did my routines that started with a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent a few quite moments with my Creator in humble thanksgiving for another day and all the blessing of life and then lifted up several, one who is Paw Paw for healing and comfort. Afterwards Nancy fixed us a couple cackleberries for breakfast then I headed out to the garden. She was busy making up cookie dough a head of time for the grand kiddos who were now not going to be here until around 2.

After a lite lunch around noon we took off on our bikes for a good 30 minute ride through the hood to get some exercise plus the day was perfect as we had the windows open and the a/c off until late afternoon when all of the bodies plus the pizza oven created a warm kitchen so we turned it back on. It was down into the high 50's to start the day and the breeze kept it quite comfortable despite it reaching the low 80's. It was in the 20's at the cabin according to Ray's Weather Station. They finally got some much needed rain which eased the threat of wild fires.

I watched a little NCAA football until they came and then we went into activity mode with the kiddos in the kitchen making cookies and of course they had plenty of sugar from eating their creations. In other words they were wired up so Bobby, Tyler and myself took all of them to the park where they played hard; climbing, swinging and chased one another around for over an hour. Thank goodness for parks and this one has a cover to hold off the high sun rays and artificial grass so they stayed clean. It's the same rec center where I play pickle ball during the week. There was a huge soccer game going on as well. The play area is fenced and the equipment is mainly for our age kiddos which keeps the bigger unruly kids away.

We came back around 5'ish and they began the pizza making process as Bobby make all of the crust dough from scratch. He even made pesto sauce as well as a the red sauce from scratch. We had all different toppings from sausage, bacon, mushrooms as each kiddo had their favorite topping. We sampled some red vino while the pies baked and watched Alabama destroy Florida in the process, yikes Florida actually scored first which gave us all some initial hope for a close game . I managed to watch the last of the Lightning game which they won in a shoot out after losing 4 straight games. We played the new old game Things and it was a blast especially with Ava and Annsley playing . They were very good and were close to being winners. I think Amy was the best guesser of who wrote what and the answers were hilarious.

After they all left I vacuumed the house while Nancy once again vacuumed the kitchen. There were still some areas that had cookie decorations. The kiddos had a blast and took all of their cookies with them. I did finally break down and eat one they had made and it became my first sweet dessert in several weeks. The vino is my dessert. Oh well. It wasn't long after a hot shower I was watching the last of the football game from behind my eye lids so it was lights out for me around 10'ish, Later

Don't forget today is corporate worship day at the place of your choosing. Honor our Creator with your presence and giving of your time, talent and monies. We have been spared in this last election with the idea of worship that would no longer be there. The secular progressives would have taken over an destroyed any idea of freedom of worship. Just look at this last controversy with the couple who are very popular on HGTV who are believers and have now been excoriated by the media and the far left for attending a church that teaches and preaches Biblical principles that homosexuality is a sin. IT IS A SIN and Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible is a great example of what happens when this becomes so pervasive within a culture and now this has become a political issue like the killing of the unborn with abortions. Thankfully the Clinton Crime Family will no longer be able to dictate along with the extreme left's special interest groups what we can believe; so thank our Creator for this divine intervention into this election and there is no doubt in my mine this occurred.
