Monday Morning

Well Sunday was a great day of worship in the morning at Bridgepoint and then again in the evening at our old church at Seminole First with watching all three of our grand kiddos involved in the children Christmas musical. The weather was once again a near perfect day with a gentle breeze but by late afternoon Nancy had the a/c on again. She spent the afternoon running with her mom shopping and then visiting with Betsy her sister who is staying with her mom while she recuperates from the hip replacement surgery. I managed some good football viewing while she was gone.

The day started with a 6'ish roll out for me to my usual morning routines before we got ready for worship. We were on a new schedule with services starting a half hour earlier to accommodate an additional service for our many visitors. We are now having 5 services on Sunday with 4 in the morning and then 1 later in the evening. I had my cup of green tea with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time to honor my Creator and lift up those I know and love who are hurting. Paw Paw is still in the hospital but we should know something soon about what the next step will be for his recuperation process. Everyone else is doing as well as can be expected but we need to lift up our new president elect as the radical left is doing their best to disrupt the election results and the process of doing away with the secular progressives which the working class of American's voted out of power. The media is doing their best to promote the leftist ideology as well with their name calling and labeling of those who don't fit into their way of thinking.

We had a full house at church and since we traveled alone as our neighbors and friends the Botbyl's were in Orlando celebrating Dan's 62 birthday we didn't eat out after the service. We did run into a huge procession of motorcycle's that had a police escort who were promoting "toys for tots". We must have waited a half hour for the thousands of motorcycles to pass by. The weather was perfect for this procession and many riders wore t-shirts and a few in Santa garb. I have escorted that procession many times over the years when they started in Tampa and ended up in St. Pete. while traveling on the interstate.

I had some leftover pizza and salad for my lunch then settled into hand watering the gardens before the kickoff of the game between the Falcons and the Chiefs. It was a great game and with the Falcon loss and the Bucs win over the Chargers later in the afternoon we are tied for first place in our division. Who would have ever thought that would happen. We headed out to Seminole First Baptist around 5:30 to watch our grand kiddos. Ava was a major player and vocalist in the program with Sam being mainly a participant in the acting on stage with no speaking part and Eliza Faye was so cute in her sheep costume who was mainly there for the "oh so cute" comments in the manger scene. We got lots of hugs and handshakes as this was the church where we raised our kids and Amy and family still attend. Tyler is a deacon there

and very involved as well. It was good to visit and renew old acquaintances.

We got back in time for me to see the closing moments in the Bucs win in San Diego. We are now a team to be reckon with in our division but must play the Saints two times in the next four weeks. They lost yesterday as did the Falcons. I don't think the Panthers have a shot as they were the dominate team last year but are less than average this year. They were losing when I shut the T.V. off last night in Seattle, LATER
