Well Monday found me working in the neighbors yard until lunch time taking apart an 18 ft circular above ground pool and getting it ready to haul over to the Ross Family's yard. It was so hot and humid even in the shade that I had sweat running down my legs and off my head, yikes! The rest of the afternoon I chilled reading until we headed over to the Ross Family's house with GG for a delicious birthday supper for Tyler. We did get a thunder storm with lots of lightning and some rain to cool things off just about rush hour.
Well the day started with a before 6 roll out for me to my usual routines of a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble. I then spent a few quiet moments with my Creator to give thanks and lift up several in need healing and comfort in this their hour of need. I spoke with Paw Paw and though he is still in the VA hospital his voice seemed somewhat stronger and he said he was getting great care. We are hoping they put him into a rehab area where he can get constant care as well. His advanced age is becoming an issue despite his being in good physical condition for years Josie(Sharon) his oldest daughter lives near the hospital and sees him almost daily which is a plus for him. He does get phone calls in his semi-private room.
After a lite breakfast of oatmeal I headed over next door to work on talking apart this above ground pool. It's a very nice one and only a few years old. It has a nice cartridge filter and all of the hoses necessary to put this pool in operation. It looks as if the only expense will be a new liner. I'm hoping we can get it out of the neighbors back yard this evening and maybe even start to set it up in Tyler's yard before I leave on Sunday. I know one thing the kiddos will have a blast using this pool and even I am looking forward to playing in it with the grand youngen's.
Son Bobby came for lunch while Nancy took her mom, GG shopping for her birthday. We chowed down on a fresh garden salad with canned chicken and avocado. Bobby was estimating some work for some houses for his job in this area and may be back again later this week for lunch again. We had a nice father/son lunch and he gave me some ideas on redoing our kitchen as Nancy's wants some changes from the oak finish cabinets. Bobby and Katie redid their cabinets and they look fabulous so I'm open to once again redoing the kitchen to satisfy the need for change.
We picked up GG around 5:30 in between a thunder and lightning storm and headed for the Ross's. Amy had a leg of lamb roast as per Tyler's request with smashed taters and the most delicious gravy ever along with fresh greens beans and Nancy brought fresh crusty bread and a salad for a birthday supper for Tyler. Amy has become such a great cook like her mother and grandmother. She also baked a chocolate gluten free birthday cake with white icing that was delicious as well. What a feed that was and we waddled out of the house somewhere around 8'ish. The grand kiddos were so sweet and funny especially Eliza Faye and both Sam and Ava are reading so well.
Well we tuned into the big debate and while Clinton is so good with her words but she is still a liar and a crook and a politician all the way. Trump got rattled a couple of times and I still think he, a businessman is what the country needs. He is definitely not a politician and doesn't speak with all of the right words that obfuscates and dodges the real answers to questions like she does. Neither of them were on point but I still feel he is honest in his desire to right the nation and stay away from the special interests that are breaking the nation into chaos and anarchy. Right away it appeared to me she had been given the questions before hand as she had immediate answers to the moderators questions whereas he struggled at times with his thought processes and answers, LATER
