Sunday Morning

Well Saturday was another beautiful day here in sunny Florida. The temps were almost perfect with a chill in the air to start the day and a gentle breeze. We had the house open until late evening when we shut it up and turned the a/c on. The humidity has stayed away which has made it great for a change this time of the year.

I started the day with my before 6'ish roll out and then my usual morning routines of a hot cup of turmeric drink, a few quiet minutes and then the posting of this ramble before a lite breakfast of cereal and fruit. I decided since I missed a day on the courts to head out on my bike for a couple hours of pickle ball play at the Rec. We had two courts in action with mostly B players but I managed to work up a good sweat before heading home around 10. I hung a load of laundry on the clothesline as it was a perfect day for drying them in the sunshine. I piddled around in the yard and garden until Nancy was ready for a trip to the super Wal-Mart for some goodies and to put some time on our Tracfone.

We shopped for an hour or so then came back and had a lite lunch as we were meeting with our small group at the Bonefish Grille in Largo at 4 for supper then back to watch the horse race. We all put in a buck and our choice of who would win and Dan picked the winner with me picking the second place finisher. We had our usual fare at the grille with rainbow trout for Nancy and the corn chowder and bang bang shrimp for me, yeow was that ever ever delicious along with some of that bread.

After the race we got into a game of Sequence which we haven't played at all this winter and the guys won the first three of of five games but the gals won the next two as we gave them a mother's day gift, anyhow it was going on 9 o'clock so we headed out shortly thereafter. We made plans for getting together for worship at Bridgepoint for today and for get togethers in the next couple of weeks while we are still in the area. Our time here is quickly coming to an end as we make plans for this summer with visits from friends and family at the cabin.
