Monday Morning

Well Sunday was an awesome day of worship, family time with all the grand kiddos decorating homemade cookies, family supper with chef Bobby's homemade manicotti and Italian sausages, gift exchange with niece Arianne from Miami and family game time. Wow what a busy and great day and the weather was chilly to start with and by late evening with the house full of folks we turned the a/c back on as the outside temps began to warm up as forecasted.

We started the day with a 6'ish roll out as we were planning on attending the 9 o'clock worship service at Indian Rocks Church. I have a feeling we may end up there for when we are back in Florida. It is a mega church but the ministries opportunities are endless. We will still do our Wednesday evening house church meetings as well with our small group with the Tracy's, Anderson's, Botbyl's and us. After the service we headed out to the Village Inn for breakfast for Dan and I and the girls had lunch. The fare was good but nothing to get excited over at least I didn't dump my water glass this week at the end of the meal; how embarrassing that was.

We came home and I hand watered the gardens and then watched a little of the NFL and the Giant vs Panthers game was a real close game with the Panthers remaining undefeated with a last second field goal after being ahead by 28 points at one time. I know my mountain friends are thrilled with the victory. At least the Bucs didn't lose today as they didn't play a game. They were off after a dismal game on Thursday Night.

Bobby, Katie, Annsley and Gabe all arrived around 2'ish and shortly thereafter Amy with Ava and Sam. Eliza Faye was still at home with Tyler napping and they came later. The bigger kiddos were so happy to see one another and they had a grand time in the kitchen decorating all kinds of cookies that Nancy turned out for them. Needless to say they were on a sugar high for most of the evening as the boys wrestled Bobby and the girls climbed and carried on in the back yard with Phoenix the neighbor boy who came over to play. They all had a big time outside and Bobby put together his delicious pasta dish and I grilled the sausages. It was after 6 before we sat down to eat and the fare was very tasty along with some red vino.

Well after the Triplett grand kiddos got their baths they shortly thereafter headed back to Brandon and the rest of us played a couple hands of Euchre and then a new game called Taboo. Eliza became fuzzy as the night wore on so the Ross Family got ready to leave as well as did GG and Arianne. Arianne was leaving around 5 AM to head back to Miami as she had classes in her studio during the day. Well it was a fun day and evening and we got to know Katie a lot more and everything about her is great. She is also a great seamstress and Annsley and Gabe seem to really love being around her. We are thrilled that Bobby seems very content with their relationship and she seems very happy to becoming a part of our family.

Well it wasn't long after everyone cleared out we started putting the house back together and then got ready for bed, LATER

We are watching Eliza Faye this evening as Amy and Tyler take Ava and Sam to see the new Star Wars movie. The kiddos are into that faze much like their parents were many years ago when the original movie came onto the big screen. Here are a few pictures from yesterdays cookie decorating event with grandma.
