Well Friday was a busy day from the start until late evening and night as we watched our three Ross grand kiddo's until after 11.Actually they all fell asleep somewhere around 10 and little Eliza Faye around 9. The morning started with the local sheriff's helicopter flying around our neighborhood at 3 in the morning for nearly an hour so I never did get back to sleep due to the noise. There must have been some kind of domestic issue because on Thursday afternoon we noticed the 'copter flying in much the same pattern with several patrol cars in the area setting up a perimeter. The bad guy or person much have come back during the wee hours of the morning and that's what woke me up, Oh well.
I headed to the rec after my usual routines, a few quiet moments and a lite breakfast for some 2 hours of pickle ball. We had a 2 courts in action for most of the morning with mostly A players. I was whupped with a soaked shirt by 10 and then stopped off at the library on the way home. I decided to rid the garden of some unwanted dried up plants and tomato vines and then clipped some of the shrubs along the back fence. I need to start getting the yards ready for our departure in a little over 3 weeks for the cabin.
Amy, GG and the kiddo's came for lunch and Nancy fixed a couple frozen pizzas with fresh mushrooms on top. I finished the left over pot roast, taters and carrots before heading into the reading room for an hour or so. Eliza came in and we watched kid videos on the lap top for nearly the whole hour. She is just such a joy and has the cutest expressions when she is thrilled with what your doing for her. She is a tough one though with the older kids as she just gets right in there with them when they wrestle. After they left Nancy took GG home in her car as we had to borrow it for our many appointments with her. She now is having some anxiety attacks because her carotid artery shows some blockage and she must have another sonogram. Eric gets back from Europe today so he will be there to run her around and calm her fears.
Well the kiddos came around 5 and I had chicken legs on the grill as that has become one of their favorite meats along with buttered macaroni, lima beans and salad. They all ate well especially Eliza as she is coming into a growth spurt. After the cleanup we headed outside to the back yard as the weather has become really nice with this cool front the past day or so. The breeze and lack of humidity has made it quite nice outside with temps only in the low 80's. It's almost like a summer day in the mountains. We played outside until nearly 7:30 and then it was bath time. We got Eliza down nearly an hour after her normal bedtime and she was so wound up it took several tries before she finally gave in to sleep.
I popped corn for the Ava and Sam and we put on a movie for them so I headed into the bedroom to watch the Ray's beat the Orioles and then the Lightning in double overtime beat the Canadians at their home rink. It was a great game for us as spectators. Amy and Tyler got back somewhere close to 11 after a dinner out and then a movie. It wasn't long after they picked up the kids that I to was ready for some horizontal lab, LATER
