Monday Morning

Well Sunday was anything but a normal routine day. First I awakened around 2:30 with a severe pain where I had the two molars prepped for crowns. I manage to take a couple prescription Tylenol with codeine and after about 30 minutes fell back to sleep until nearly 7 and the pain was gone in the jaw. Great. The pain never came back until late Sunday evening when I took some Ibuprofen which once again took the pain away through out the night; so I'm not real sure if I'm going to need a root canal or I just have sensitive teeth. Oh well!!! Now let's get to the real issues and occurrence for the day.

We were getting ready for our morning trip to Element Church in Tampa when we got a call from Eric, Nancy's brother who just happened to be in town for a few days along with his daughter Arriane and her husband Erroll that GG(Nancy's mom) was being transported to the emergency room at Morton Plant Hospital. Seems she awakened after a very restful night only to suddenly become weak and complain of a burning sensation in the chest area. Fire Rescue was called and the paramedics did observe on her EKG an anomaly with her heart so she took the ride to Clearwater in an ambulance.

We headed out to the hospital and learned that GG had a slight heart attack and that she had been losing blood for some time somewhere in her body which required a couple pints of blood before they could do a catherization to determine where the blockage is in her arteries and where a stent would be placed if needed. They have to give her a blood thinner to do this procedure but not until they find out where she is bleeding internally. They admitted her and hope today(Mon) the doctors can determine what needs to be done to get her back on her feet. She seems to have a great attitude at 86 years young to all of this that's suddenly happening to her. Luckily Eric is still here to help with making some decisions regarding her future care. She may have to go to Michigan to stay with him for the summer as Betsy works and we must go and check on our cabin after being away for over 7 months.

I came back home just before lunch while Nancy stayed at the hospital until late. Amy brought her back home in the afternoon so she could pick up the truck and go back to the hospital. I did manage to watch the Ray's loses a close game but the Lightning stomped the Canadians 6-2 in hockey. They will now come to Tampa for the next three games and could possibly close out their division with two more wins at home. Well I did get some reading in and Erroll came back to the house and spent the afternoon with me before heading back to the hospital and try to persuade Arianne to go back to Miami. She won out and they will leave sometime today(Mon) is the last I heard, LATER
