Well another sleepless night in Seminole with that dang tooth acting up again late last evening. Since Monday mornings root canal that tooth has been pain free but the swelling never completely went away. I've been taking a high powered antibiotic twice a day and lots of liquid gel ibuprofen's every few hours or so but for some reason it went ballistic last night but what really frightens us was the acute swelling in the jaw and now around the neck. I've been using ice packs all morning for the swelling and that has helped some what.
Nancy wanted me to go to the emergency room at 6 this AM but I decided to wake my dentist's up as they said to call if there was a problem. Nancy first called my original dentist to get his take on the situation and his office girl was there to answer some questions. I then called one of the c-phone numbers of one of the doctors to get the doctor that worked on me Monday. Luckily I know or have used them before and I know one of the gals in the office but I told Nancy there is nothing like waking up 3 doctors at 6 in the morning. I have an appointment at 11:15 today to see what can be done to fix this problem tooth. I hate to have it extracted as I so far I have over 3 grand invested in it but I can't go on this way.
We had a nice birthday supper for Sam at Amy and Tyler as we dined on smoked beer-in-the-rear chicken, pinto beans cooked with a smoked ham hock, collards greens which were the best ever and oven taters. Sam Skyped with his other grandparents in Kansas where it's really cold and snow is fore casted as they got to watch him open several birthday presents. Amy has become quite the great cook like her mother and set a beautiful table. We brought GG with us as well for supper. Nancy made a chocolate cake with white icing that is utterly delicious and I had to have a small piece. We ate too much for supper and all was well until about an hour after we got home then the pain started once again, LATER
