Well Thursday turned out to be rather warm and humid with lots of sunshine. I'm still under the influence of this abscessed molar as I can not get the swelling to decrease in my jaw and neck despite taking two different antibiotics. I've tried to lessen the use of the powerful pain pills but last night the throbbing pain was back with avengeance and I could only get relief finally by taking one with some Aleve at 10 and then again around 4 AM. This swelling in my face has been going on since last Sunday and I don't see any evidence that it has improved either. I've used ice packs throughout the day to no avail and now I'm getting rather dejected as I see no end to this pain without medication. I really have done all I can in trying to save this tooth but it's been the worst kind of pain ever in my jaw area.
I have enough prescriptions to get me through the week end and if there is no improvement by Monday I'm going to have it yanked. I hate to throw away so much money but I can not function like this much longer. I haven't been able to get any exercise and while the jaw pain from the abscess is controlled by the pain meds the ability to open my mouth is very limited and the pain is very evident there as well. I'm over this as this all started two weeks ago Thursday with the dentist replacing a filing that was close to 50 years old.
I did read and finished a couple books the past couple days and at times I was able to ride my bike to library to pickup new books but my body is starving for exercise especially pickle ball. I hand watered the gardens a couple times yesterday and gave away fresh lettuce to three of my neighbors. We had GG for a supper of stir fry with garden sugar peas, fresh asparagus and mushrooms and I grilled a couple bone in pork chops slathered with fresh rosemary. I could barely get my mouth open to insert the food and it most definitely hurt throughout the eating process. After the clean up we settled into the Fox News channel and finally the polls are showing lots of us think this potus is a liar and doesn't have the best interests of Americans in his plan for keeping us safe from the terrorists and from Iran getting a nuclear weapon; finally a few folks are starting to see the writing on the wall. We need to lay aside politics and do what is right for the USA and I just hope it's not too late. I wonder how will we ever recover from this president's lack of leadership and his desire to fundamentally change our culture, LATER
