Tuesday Morning

Well Monday finally saw the heat and humidity recede the area and we opened a window or two and the front door. Wow is it ever nice to be outside and not sweat from all of the mugginess. I started the day with the usual a little before 6'ish roll out. After my quiet time and a lite breakfast I headed out on my bike to the rec for 2 hours of pickle ball. We had 2 courts in action with a couple waiting to get on. Patrick(my Canadian friend and fellow pickle ball player) is back from the frozen, snow covered north where he spent Christmas. He sent pictures of his place covered with feet of snow and will be covered until sometime into the spring months. Yikes he mentioned it never got above freezing the 3 weeks he was there and when he left on Saturday it was 20 below zero.

We had a great work out and I once again had a sweat soaked shirt. I stopped off at the library for a couple CD's for the Bose player and a couple new reads with newest titled THE SEEKER. It's a historical novel about Walden Pond and Thoreau. I found it to be a real page turner. I came back home and fed some of my seedlings which will be producing later this week especially the lettuces. I checked on the radishes and while I did get a dozen or so most of the seedling were nothing but beautiful tops. Once again I forgot to check the moon sign when I sowed the seeds and they just never produced any radish, just beautiful radish tops, oh well. What was disturbing was I did get a few very well formed radishes but most of the hundred or so tops were just that, tops. Oh well.

Amy, GG, Sam and Eliza all came for lunch and we had a salad along with deli meat sandwiches, etc. I'm still forgoing bread, crackers and chips and staying with the basic salads along with sliced beets and garbanzo beans as adornments. I think I've dropped a few ounces as my jeans don't feel as tight around the spare tire when we dressed for church on Sunday, yea!!!! After eating we listen to some CD'S I picked up from the library with singers like Bobby Vinton, Dion and some crooners from my high school days. Little Eliza was moving to the music as she would look at the Bose and then back at me and smile. She is walking a little more each day but still crawls when she wants to get some where fast. Nancy finally got her to sleep for about a 45 minute nap before Amy had to pick up Ava around 3'ish. We dropped GG off at her house and then ran some errands.

Nancy has jury duty on Wednesday so we made a dry run to the court house where at 8:15 she will have to check in. They now have a huge 3 story parking garage which will make it a little easier to find a place to park. We went inside the building and wow was security ever tight as we were thoroughly checked over. She now has a better feeling about how to handle this early morning appointment. We made a couple stops afterwards to pick up some items before returning to GG's for supper. We were invited along with the Ross Family for stuffed peppers, smashed taters and salad. Wow was that ever tasty and the red sauce the peppers were cooked in was very tasty. I was strong again and stayed away from the 'taters and crusty bread.

After the clean up I went next door and made a call to the phone company as we were unable to get a dial tone for GG's phones. We called on our cell phones but could not get an operator for Brighthouse. I finally got through to an operator on the nighbors phone and learned the modem for GG was not working so they will send out a technician tomorrow evening of all things between 4-6 PM. Wow that is really a slow response for such a dire need as her life alert system is tied to the phone, Oh well. She has been without service all day. This week end our system was on the blink over the weekend with our whole bundle at times being down. She did have TV but no phone service.

Well that was about it for the day except the company that sends the heart monitor called and spoke with Nancy about what she will have to do when she receives the monitor through Fed EX. She must have the transmitter within 5 feet of her at all times while wearing it. Hopefully they will detect the cause for this heart racing at times which frightens Nancy to no end. He dad had all kinds of heart problems before he passed last year. He was in his late 80's when that occurred but she is concerned about this racing heart. She has another stress test on Friday to once again see if the heart has any blockage or is under duress, LATER
