Well Friday morning started out with a 6'ish roll out for me. The a/c is back on as the outside temps and humidity figured in this decision. It's supposed to be in the high 70's to low 80's for the rest of the week or so. While this is better than the cold and snow I would rather have the doors and windows open, oh well. The garden likes this weather as it does cool down a little at night into the 60's. However last night at midnight it was still 71 degrees when we headed to Tampa airport to pick up GG on her trip back from Michigan where it was in the 20's when she left, yikes.
After my quiet time and a lite breakfast I pedaled out to the rec for a little over an hour of pickle ball. I managed a good workout before cutting it about an hour short as Nancy had a heart doctor's appointment in Clearwater regarding her occasional bout with a racing heart or pulse. We did the regiment for this a couple years ago and nothing came of it but now this new doctor wants her to wear a monitor for 30 days and have another stress test. He didn't seem all that concerned that she was in any way a candidate for a heart attack but did think is was all related to the SA node which can be corrected with surgery or a procedure to go into the heart through a vein. We will see if maybe an attack will occur while she is wearing this monitor and hopefully get some results on correcting this issue.
We made a couple stops at the grocery on the way home as we are having Bobby and Amy's kiddos on Saturday for the whole day. We want to get them together for a play day as well as lunch and supper. Tyler is gone for a couple of days to chaperon the college kids from SFBC in Atlanta so we had Amy and her kiddos for lunch and supper last evening. We had leftovers for lunch and I grilled marinated chicken breasts for supper. They headed out around 8'ish to put Eliza to bed. She still has a cold and the doctor put her on an antibiotic to help with fighting this month long runny nose and cough.
That was about it except for picking up GG at the airport. One of the changes made for picking up passengers is your no longer allowed to sit at the curb and wait for them at the luggage pick up; so I made several trips around the loop while waiting for her bags. Spirit Airlines seem to be very slow in getting the luggage to their travelers; even the traffic cop said it would be quite some time before the bags were ready for pickup and to keep traveling the circuit along with lots of other vehicles. We got her home around midnight after a flight delay from Detroit and as well as the baggage delay in Tampa. The interstate was packed with cars this late at night and you wonder where everyone was going, oh well, LATER
