Wednesday Morning at the cabin

Well Tuesday turned out to be a pretty nice day here in the mountains. Lots of sunshine after a cool start and some overcast skies by late evening. We stayed around the cabin except for our usual daily hike to the top of the mountain and we even ventured further up the mountain to the house on top. We never stopped to visit those who live there but the view was awesome. It was really quite pleasant as it reached the lower 60's by the afternoon. I even talked Nancy into a little badminton and the new court area works out just fine. We took an extended golf cart ride as well as some of the trials were open with the leaves gone from the bushes.

We took did some closets and cabinets sorting out and cleaning as well. I had some stuff that should have thrown out years ago that was just collecting dust and we even packed up some stuff to take back to Florida when we leave on next Tuesday. I pan fried some bacon outside on the grill to start the day with a couple cackleberries and had enough leftover to garnish our baked spuds tonight(Wed) when we have out "mountain mom" Helen and her brother Joe for a supper of steak, taters and a salad. I finished up the last of the tortilla soup for lunch and then we did nachos for supper without the meat.

Well finally America awakened and did some mighty audacious voting in my opinion. Finally a rebuke of this administration's policies and the lack of leadership from this president who drastically wanted to change America for the worst. I just hope and pray those who are now in leadership will give us a sense of strength and renew our values in the face of this terrorist cancer that is threatening the world. We can only hope to preserve our way of life for our children and grand children by being strong and unified and in the face of these radicals who slaughter the weak. The scandals and lack of leadership have most of us fed up with this administration. Thankfully they have been shown the door and have been rebuked. May GOD Bless America once again, LATER
