Friday( 4th of July)

Well I'm writing this ramble from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Woodstock, Va. at my baby sister Dee's house. I stepped outside to clear crisp 68 degrees and blue skies with the mountains on both sides of the valley. What awesome views.

Thursday started out with us getting ready for our trip up the valley. After our quiet times and usual routine(s) we put the cabin in order for a few days respite, packed up the truck and headed out. Nancy decided she did not want to travel the interstate so we took the back roads up the valley. Well what usually takes 4 hours to completion took nearly 6 1/2. Yikes I will not do that route on the way back. The country was beautiful, hilly at times an quite rural. The gardens are in various sizes and of course I compared it to how far my garden had matured.

We took off for the Cracker Barrel eatery around 7'ish and had a delicious supper and took turns trying to get a word in edge wise. It has been a couple years since we've seen Halley Jo as she now lives in Colorado where she is a maturity nurse. It was great to hug her neck and catch up on her life.

Well I will next update this ramble from a hotel in Lancaster, Pa as we celebrate the life of Nancy's Uncle Warnie, LATER
