Wednesday

Well Tuesday was a day that started with cold temps and eventually warmed up enough we could open the doors and let in some fresh air and sunshine. It reached the lower 70's by late afternoon. However the heat was on to start the day and then again by bedtime another front moved in the area bringing cold air moved about by a strong northern wind. This morning the heat is running as I make this post. Florida winter weather is so changing it's a wonder we all don't stay sick with a cold. I'm finally getting over the sniffles and a cough after a week or more of the darn thing.

Well we started the day several times during the night as Nancy was getting ready for her scope of the colon around 9:30. I skipped pickle ball again and stayed with her until it was time to bring her home around 1 PM. She was the last scope of the morning and we spent nearly 4 hours there but the results were great to hear and see. The doctor removed 1 polyp and did notice some diverticulum but no infection so that was a good report. She is back to eating normally with some adjustments due to her hiatal hernia which seems to be the reason for all of her discomfort in the abdomen and chest area. We are thankful for that diagnosis. That will be another reason to try and shed a few pounds and continue exercising plus eating lots of fresh vegetables. I did manage a trip to the rec after lunch for a treadmill workout as I've missed my workouts on the courts for the past several mornings.

Speaking of fresh veggies I harvested another batch of green beans and lots of greens for a salad of 5 different lettuces as well as lots of fresh herbs. Nancy made a huge pot of vegetable soup for supper which is awesome. Amy brought the kiddos over after picking up Ava from school and we sent her home with enough for supper as well. Eliza is just so cute and perfect. She slept most of the time here but we did get to love up on her and Ava and Sam. After supper and the clean up we settled into Fox News and the O'Reilley show before I headed to the shower. Nancy had been up several times during the night with her pre-op for the scope and of course that kept me awake as well.

We see where our family and friends in the mountains and northeast are in for another round of winter weather that could be severe with snow and below freezing temps, Yikes what's with the global warming predictors that want us to reallocate our assets for their cause. There is no common sense among those prognosticators; just political hyperbole, Later
