Thursday

Well Wednesday started out cold with a strong north wind and it stayed rather chilly all day. It may have reached the low 50's but it sure felt colder as the wind was quite brisk and by late afternoon I ventured out to hand water the gardens and then to cover some of the more tender plants from the frost that was expected overnight.

The morning started usual for a change as I roll out around 6'ish then did my quiet time and had a bowl of fruit before pedaling out to the rec for some 2 plus hours of pickle ball. It was just 2 of us for a half hour or so and we got in 3 games of singles before another couple of players showed and by 10 we had 2 courts going with 8 players. It was a cold ride out around 7:30 and the north wind had my eyes watering. I bundled up with a sweater and a lite coat and wow did that ever feel good. It had warmed up a few degrees by 10 but not enough to make it comfortable. After a quick stop at the library I headed home to await Amy and the kiddos for lunch.

We had some leftover vegetable soup Nancy made the day before and did that ever hit the spot on such a cold day for lunch. Little Eliza is just so cute and snugly and we spoiled her while Amy ran some errands after lunch. Sam was into the games on the ipad which is really a great babysitter. That's why Nancy wants one for her birthday so both Ava and Sam can play games. After Amy left we tided up and got ready for our house church gathering at 7. We had 8 adults and 1 kid and we watched a video presented by focus on the family about truth. Actually Jesus said that is why he came was to bring the truth about GOD. It was a very interesting and informative perspective most folks never give much of a thought. There are several segments in this series and hopefully we can view them all.

Nancy made a 7 UP pound cake for dessert and Kathryn brought a yummy dip. We also collected gift cards for a family from Element whose little 4 year old son is under going liver complications a may possibly need a transplant in a hospital in Miami. There is also a site on our Face Book page where you can donate to help offset some of the costs for this treatment if your inclined to do so. Its at Help Support Joey and his family and the website is www.youcaring.com.

Well that was about it for Wednesday as the meeting lasted until close to 9:30. After a prayer time of lifting Joey, the White Family and our son and his family up we called it a night. That hot shower felt good and afterwards it wasn't long until I was reading the inside of my eye lids, LATER
