Well Thursday was another quite warm day after a foggy start which burned off by mid morning and then the sun quickly brought the outside temps up close to the middle 80's once again; except for a cold snap a week or so ago its been almost summer time here with high heat and humidity. I mowed the yards for the first time since pulling a back muscle and getting sciatica and while I could feel a little pressure in the lower back, the pain never developed which was a blessing. I worked outside until lunch time then settled into reading the afternoon away except for hand watering the gardens.
I had started the day much the usual with a roll out before 6 to my usual routines that always start with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for a other day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding with this post. Nancy made a mountain breakfast of sausage and eggs with toast and I added a jalapeno pepper to mine that held me until late afternoon when I cleaned up some leftover pop corn and had a buckeye or two, which is the last of her Christmas cookies that are kept in the fridge.
We had the Nymark's and Botbyl's coming for supper which was leftover soups and a fresh garden salad and of course fresh baked cookies but everyone passed on them, but Nancy. We also had crusty bread and crackers and afterwards we played hand, knee and foot which the gals won big, but not as big as we won on Monday night. It was going on 9 when everyone left and I had cleaned up the pots and dishes before heading to the shower. My one ear was waxed up so I had put some ear wax removal liquid in the ear earlier in the day and it felt blocked, but after using some hot water and a bulb it cleaned out, yikes that is so annoying to me and I make a lot of wax for some reason, oh well.
We were supposed to go to Ava game tonight(Friday) but the opposing team cancelled so we will go to the Nymark's along with the Botbyl's for another supper and card games which will be hand, knee and foot I'm sure. Well this time next week Christmas will be over and we will be looking forward to 2025 and a new administration in another couple weeks. America is in need of a new POTUS as this one is so inept and weak and Israel needs him as well, to back them up as they take on the surge of the middle east. We can only hope both countries survive until then, LATER
