Tuesday Morning Nov 12th

Well despite taking a powerful steroid this back muscle and now sciatica pain is still prevalent, dad gum I sure miss playing and working and will give in to seeing a chiropractor per Nancy's wishes. The last time I saw one he recommended prednisone which did eventually get rid of the inflammation after 2 regiments. I did some ultra sound, some rest and eventually some minor exercises but its still painful and debilitating while taking lots of OTC's for the pain. The back issues started when I was young with an L5 surgery in the 60's while serving in the USAF and it came back on this Veterans Day to remind me it seems, oh well.

I started the day with a well before 6 rollout and believe it or not I did sleep quite well once I got horizontal with the lights out around 10'ish. I did my usual routines of some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding with this post. There isn't much to write about when you spend the day inside either reading a book or reading on line about all kinds of issues and I did listen to a great message from a renown speaker by the name of Erwin Lutzer on the Laughter of God. He is an awesome speaker and was at Jack Hibbs church in Chino Hills, California.

We were having our small group get together at first here at the house but since I wasn't up for a large group meeting for supper they moved it up to the neighbor's house and Nancy brought me down a plate. She had made two casserole's and the drinks and everyone was supposed to bring a dish. A couple have decided to quit the group and another couple have moved away and no one else seems ready to step up and lead, so it will be on hold until after the holidays I believe. Its just too much for one couple to meet weekly, oh well.

I stayed on the couch and watched the news and prayed for healing on this back and now leg. I did watch the first half of the NFL game before hitting the shower and then eventually for some horizontal lab for the night, LATER
