Friday Morning Oct 11th

Well the house is still standing as is the big oak in the back yard in Seminole according to neighbor Bobby, but we are without power which is sort of a blessing considering all the many homes destroyed as well as several who were killed in this monster storm. Amy and family headed back to Seminole despite no power and it was a long ride as they had trouble finding gas along the way, but they are safe as is our son Bobby who rode out the storm in Brandon. They have no power and lots of limbs down but no major damage  despite the huge oaks around his house and yards. We are so thankful for that and most all of our family and friends are safe and no serious property damage that we known of unlike the folks here in the mountains. These folks here will sure need help to bury the dead when they are located as well as rebuilding their lives and towns.

I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and for healing. All seem to be holding with this post. I did head out side after it warmed up as the day started rather chilly with temps down into the low 40's but it did warm up to the 60's by late afternoon. I didn't do much after stretching and walking the perimeter but watch the news on the damage left by Milton and then checking on Israel in their attempts to wipe out the radical barbarian terrorist proxies of Iran. I wish they would take out this brutal regime and destroy their capacity to make nuclear bombs which we all know they will use against Israel and the USA. These barbarians are evil personified and our former potus Obama is a big supporter as is this corrupt administration who is seeking another 4 year to destroy whats left of our society and make the nation a caliphate for the muslims. I sure hope patriots and christians wake up and vote a red wave this next month or we will no longer be a free society.

Well we headed out around 5:30 for Sparta as Nancy wanted to do some shopping at Food Lion and I dropped her off while I picked up some books at the library which closed at 6 and then I came back and picked her up and we headed to our couples class at the college which is next door to the library. It was nearly 9 before we finished class and then made another stop for ice cream on the way home for our desserts on Saturday with the Frankis family. It was after 10 before we got back to the cabin on this chilly evening and so I hit the shower and wanted to watch a little of the NFL but for some reason its no longer on the TV here, so I headed to bed to read until it was lights out for me, LATER
