Well Monday was another work day as I finished up with the burn on the last of the three stumps; one which wasn't that large about a foot across which I chopped, sawed and drilled out, the second stump was wide across but only about 6 to 8 inches in height which took several burns and lots of sawing and drilling and then the last stump which was waist high and at least 3 feet around was the most stubborn one. It is now gone and I was able to dig down below ground level and burn it down completely. Now I just need to clean out the debris in the hole and fill it in with top soil and sow some grass seeds which will make mowing that steep area so much easier.
I started the day with my usual before 6 rollout to my routines that start with some quiet time after posting this ramble to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift several up by name for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding with this post. It was quite chilly with temps in the low 40's to start the day and by late afternoon it was t-shirt temps with tons of bright sunshine and gorgeous blue skies. I headed out to stretch and get limbered up on the back for my mile walk around the perimeter of the property and my talk with GOD. I'm actually liking that better than hiking up the back trail as I get to view the yards and gardens and see what next needs to be done as well as admiring this beautiful cabin and the many still blooming flowers.
After a mountain breakfast of bacon, eggs, left over tatters and a tomato for me with a jalapeno pepper chopped up in the mix. That held me unto 1'ish when we cleaned up a small snack and a leftover piece of stromboli from Nancy's lunch yesterday. I grilled marinated chicken breasts for supper around 5 and ate that with a fresh garden salad before we headed out to church for our respective Bible study classes. It was after 9 before the class ended and then we had to stop at the Food Lion for a couple items for soup this evening for supper. It was nearly 10 before we got in the cabin and then it was shower time and just a few minutes of the MNF before lights out for me, LATER
