Sunday Morning August 3rd

Well Saturday was a fun day after an early morning walk through their neighborhood; at least with all this fine eatin' I've taken a couple of long walks/hikes albeit was rather hot. We had a nice breakfast of fresh baked banana bread and a egg sandwich with bacon, tomato and lettuce. That held me until an early supper of pasta, shrimp, broccoli and salad and then home made peach ice cream.

We headed out around 10 for Berkeley Springs, specifically the old summer time river house that Nancy used with her family as a young child. Well we found the property but the old house was completely gone and its no wonder because the last time we saw it a couple years ago it was sadly in disrepair with the roof falling in and mold and mildew prevalent through out what was left. It was a pleasant ride and then we wanted to see cousin Dixie' s place in Capon Bridge, so the GPS took us a shortcut through the mountains which was a beautiful ride. Well Dixie and Jim's place is on the Capon River and is such a beautiful place they have restored. They were very excited to us as its been years and won't be attending the reunion today as they have other plans, so it made our trip complete and we were invited back to visit and even stay overnight in the future. Jim is quite the carpenter and remodeler and Dixie has made this place a showcase place along the river with their work. That was the first that I ever remember going to this small mounatin town in West Virginia.

We made a stop at a grocery on the way back to Woodstock for fresh shrimp and some other goodies for our supper which was delicious. After the supper and a glass of vino we settled into some hand, knee and foot and the gals whupped us in the last two events after we won the first two events. It was close to 10 when we called it a day and hit the shower and soon some horizontal lab after a hot shower.

I did do some of my regular routines with some quiet moments to honor my lord, Jesus and to lift several up by name for comfort and healing. Please keep our family in Florida in your thoughts and prayers as this storm approaches the state, LATER
