Monday Morning Jan 22nd

Well Sunday morning was really cold at 35 degrees and to make it even colder was the stiff wind out of the north. I'm sure the wind chill was below freezing, but the sun was shining which eventually warmed the air to a pleasant 50 degrees by late afternoon. We both were working the front outside guest desk and main door at SRBC which at times was brutally cold. Thankfully Bobby had given me a felt pea coat a few years ago and I used it for the first time over my knit sweater which kept me quite warm except for the face and hands.

I started the day with my usual before 6 rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding as of this post. I'm sure glad I had covered many of my more subject to cold plants and when I got home from church I uncovered them and they looked great. I gave everything a good drink of water afterwards.

We had a lunch of egg rolls we had in the freezer and they were delicious which held us until supper time at Amy and Tyler's. They had a mac and cheese that was awesome along with grilled flank steak, green beans and a salad from my garden and of course Nancy's chocolate with white icing cake and ice cream for dessert to celebrate Eliza's belated birthday. Everyone had such a great time with all 7 grands getting together. The only downer was the Bucs played lousy and lost to the Lions in a playoff game.  We all left around 8'ish for home and I finished watching the Bills get beat by the Chiefs in cold Buffalo. At least the Bucs game was inside the stadium which was heated as the outside was a frozen tundra like Buffalo.

Tonight, Monday we have a small life group supper at the Walters place in Largo and then on Tuesday we have another basketball game with Ava's team. Sad she can't play but we will still go and support the team and then I get my stitches out of the shoulder and hopefully back to pickle ball play later in the week, LATER
