Well Monday turned out too be rather pleasant after a chilly start with temps down into the low 50's, but we eventually warmed up enough for t-shirts and shorts and we were able to sit outside on the deck and play games or at least we three guys did while gals lazed inside the cabin. It was a great day either way you look at it as we got in a really long hike mid morning with a stop at the Nymark campground and they joined us and then we came back some where around 1'ish. We had such a large breakfast to start the day with blueberry pancakes(berries I picked that morning from my bushes), eggs and bacon. That held me until supper time when I grilled t-bones steaks, baked sweet taters and a garden fresh salad with a little vino before hand.
I started the day with a 6'ish rollout to my routines that start with some quiet time after posting this ramble and for some reason my readership has exploded to over a thousand a day. I'm wondering if there is a mistake with their counter, oh well , but I welcome any and all who find my posts relaxing and informing on the daily living of a retiree in the mountains of N.C. during the summer and Florida in the winter. GOD has blessed me and my family with this standard of living and the chance to share his beautiful creation with friends and family.
We guys sat outside on the deck and played several games of DICE where you have to hit ten thousand points exactly to win but to make seven hundred fifty to start or meld. Then we played a game of "chicken foot" dominos with a Mexican train thrown into the mix. A new wrinkle into the already exciting fun game of chance. After supper we played "hand and foot" and the gals won big on the last hand so now they are up 4-3 in games over this visit with the Martello's and Nymark's. I'm sure when its just the Nymark's and us starting on Wednesday, we will be playing nightly as we all are addicted to the game. We did watch a little of the NFL before bedtime after the game, LATER
