Well Sunday started out with some great worship on line with Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Va and then again at our local Cornerstone in Sparta with dear friend Jake filling in for Pastor B who is on vacation. While Jake is the youth pastor and not accustom to being in the pulpit he did a fine job despite his nervousness. We all along with Jake and family as well as his mom and Katelyn's mom ate lunch at the Pizzeria afterwards. I finished up my worship day with S.R.B.C. and our pastor Dereck later in the evening after retiring from being outside and a heavy rain shower that dropped a half inch of rain in about an hour.
I started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my routines that always start with some quiet moments to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and them lift up several by name for comfort and healing. All are holding as I make this post. We did stop by our "mountain moms" place on the way home after church and some shopping at the Food Lion to drop off something for her. She is doing well despite her advanced age and some knee issues. I did a honey do for her before we headed for the cabin as the weatherman was predicting another storm which we got later in the afternoon.
I watched the Ray's lose again to the Orioles and they are now two games down from being at one time the best team in baseball which the Orioles and Braves are now hold the bragging rights, oh well. Right now they will be in the playoffs but I'm afraid if they keep losing that could be in doubt. Their hitting has gone into a slump as well as their relief pitching, oh well. I still enjoy pulling for them despite losing. Since we had the normal Sunday lunch which was a salad and a personal pan pizza I was satisfied the rest of the day except for some snacks later in the afternoon. We did walk around the property checking out the gardens and flower beds once the rain stopped and the sun came out. I harvest my first zucchini squash and three nice bell peppers and noticed three cucumbers which should be ready in a day or so, finally. No ripe tomato's yet and no dahlias either, despite some buds which look like they could be pink in color.
Today Monday its foggy this AM and very wet outside. I'll weed whack this morning and attempt to mow either today or tomorrow, once the grass dries, LATER
