Well the Ross Family just pulled out from the driveway on their way back to Seminole after a busy fun filled day yesterday. Rocky of course was happy to be with his family and never left the side of their car until he was loaded. We will miss him but not his slobbers and snoring as he is one loud dog and a bull in a china closet critter.
Saturday started out much the usual with a 6'ish rollout to my routines. Amy and family got in from Wisconsin around 8'ish and they slept in to start the day. I did my routines that always start with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and lift several up for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding. Please keep the Ross Family in your thoughts for safe travel this morning as well. We will head out around 9:30 am for Cornerstone and then lunch out with the Frankis Family which has become our usual Sunday's after church here in the mountains, with a stop at the Food Lion before heading home to clean the cabin and catch up on some things which Rocky kept us limited in doing. He hates the vacuum cleaner and anything that makes a noise.
We all took a hike to the top of the mountain except grandma(Nancy) after a huge breakfast of pancakes, eggs and sausages and then around 1'ish I put on 2 racks of baby back ribs for our supper on the smoker. Breakfast held me until 5'ish when we had some vino and Wisconsin cheeses which was excellent as an appetizer. We had oven taters, half runner beans and corn on the cob and we sat outside on the deck to eat. What a lovely evening. The Ross Family took another hike with Rocky after supper while I helped clean up and then got a campfire going which they all wanted. We sat outside until dark then everyone showered and packed for the 6 AM departure this morning. It was a fun time and they are coming back in July for another week while Tyler and Sam hike the Appalachian Trail and Amy and the girls will stay with us with Rocky.
We are guests free until the 22nd when old friends from school come for a long week end and then Bobby and family come for the 4th of July week, LATER
